One of my guilty pleasures is to shop at Anthropologie. ?Ever since I found out about their stuff a few years back, I became obsessed. ?Granted, a while back I was still a student and could only window shop so that obsession wasn’t as expensive. ?Now, whenever I am at Americana, I MUST stop by Anthro. ?Who can help themselves when the store smells soooo nice all the time and has the prettiest knick knacks amongst their gorgeous (and $$$) clothing? ?I’m a cheapo and only really shop sales. ?I think I’ve splurged a couple of times on full-priced items, but all the other times I limit myself to their sales section, which is towards the back on the right side of the store. ?Their dressing rooms are also in the back, but on the left side. ?If you park at Americana, you get 1 hour free parking (no validation) OR 2 hours free with validation. ?Yes, you can get validated at the Anthro counter.I have always had a great experience with the sales associates, regardless of the fact that I am one of their cheapo customers. ?They always say hi and have a cute smile on their faces. ?No one even bats an eye when I walk into the dressing room with 10+ items. ?Sometimes I stay in the rooms for so long, they have to walk by and knock to make sure I am still alive.Yah, a lot of their stuff are kind of so-so these days, but that isn’t the fault of the girls working there. ?They all do an amazing job and deal with the crazy crowds during the holidays like champs. ?:) ?One concern I do have is the lack of petite-length pants. ?If they had more of those, I’d be shopping up a storm b/c when the pants go on sale, they are a pretty decent deal.

(ok, so maybe only one)… bbbbuuuutttttttt…today i went in there for some christmas presents. ?they have some very very cute reasonably priced initial mugs. ?(i have my very own with a bright red “K” on it). ?i purchased six of them, and the girl who checked me out was super patient because she not only was going to wrap them, (as they always do for breakables, i’m sure) she offered to remove all of the pricetags, label each wrapping with the letter of the initial mug i purchased (in brown paper, how will i know if it’s the “C” or “M” one?!) and provide gift wrapping for all mugs. ?i felt like i was being a pain in the a** even though i didn’t ask for her to do it, but she was so friendly and happy to help and even though my check out lasted and extra 15 minutes, she wasn’t bothered at all. ?i very much appreciated her time and will continue to go there. ?maybe next time i’ll buy the $48 stationery set.
Anthropologie makes me giddy with glee. The second you walk in, you’re hit with a wonderful smell of something vintagey. They have really adorable items for the home and beautiful clothes. However, my glee dies almost immediately upon seeing the price tags. While good quality, a lot of their items are extremely overpriced. $90 for a polyester top? I don’t think so.I can only really afford the sale section, but just going in for the smell and feel of beautiful clothes is a treat!
This store and their catalog is so visually inspiring! I find alot of great items on their sale rack so you should never overlook it.
In comparison to others it is a bit on the smaller side but I appreciate the fact that their selections for housewares are definitely edited well. Unfortunately, it seems like the limited floor space only gives room for limited styles and no shoes, so they don’t have the items that I liked either on the catalogue or online from time to timeI will continue to come by for the basics and some of the housewares. I must say their fitting rooms are superior to the Grove store and same goes for the decor.

Although not the largest Anthropologie I’ve ever been to (but still decently sized) CZ jewelry, the store is neatly laid out and has a large sales section. Customer service at Anthropologie is generally good but this was a cut above. The sales girls were genuinely helpful but not pushy. They streamlined the dressing process and remained sweet and cheerful at all times. And when I say cheerful, I mean Stepford Wife cheerful but with the creepy factor scaled way down. They checked in on me every now and then and my girlfriends and I weren’t made to feel bad about anything we chose not to purchase. And yes, they’re paid to be this way but when it’s 9:30pm on a Saturday and you’ve got lots of foot traffic in the store and the sales girls show nary a drop in cheer or attitude I think that’s commendable. At the checkout counter, they took a moment to find out what other stores carried additional colors of the blouse I had just purchased and let me know I could bring it to any of them for an exchange. The mark-up on the stuff that is not “theirs” which is almost everything is definitely more than the typical %)They do have a large sale section in the back..and I like anthro because of their kitchen stuff…but it was completely empty and I was trying to make a purchase and I couldn’t get any service. So I left (I waited 5 minutes at the empty cashwrap before heading to barnes)The last thing is…Anthro’s “Visuals” department tends to steal their “ideas” from working artists…so all those cool displays and window dressings? Stolen work… The sales girls here are rude, lazy, and lack customer service…you can get better service at the cheesecake factory next door.
I’ve been to many an Anthro, and Americana’s offers one of the best shopping experiences–compared to Beverly Center, Beverly Hills, and Victoria Gardens. ?American’s Anthro has really great people working there, and always very helpful. ?I remember one shopping trip, where I felt as if I trying one like a rack of clothes, to find the perfect top! And I still believe I found THE perfect top. But I’ve digressed.The young lady that was helping me was super sweet and patient. She made sure that I had a clean room, and managed to help me find the size that I needed. Happy Happy shopper.
I dig this place. I like Anthropologie because every store is a little different. I liked this one a lot. It doesn’t feel as big as the one at the Grove, but it’s a) NOT at the Grove and b) staffed with a lot nicer people. They have a great sale section — I got two shirts that were over 50% off. Best of all, they have great music.Rufus Wainwright, Feist that wasn’t “1234,” and the happiest for me, The Decemberists “Myla Goldberg.” I know I’ll be going to an Anthropologie up in Portland when it comes time to decorate!!
This place is okay. I can appreciate that it’s open realistic hours, unlike the Anthro in Pasadena. It’s rather small yet very neat. This place is kept in ORDER! Service was very friendly. I just hate that overpowering fragrance (-1) the moment you walk in. But I suppose that’s part of the experience. You get donkey punched with scented candles and it magically makes you want to buy kitchen stuff with cancer warning signs posted next to them, and napkins that say “made in sri-lanka”. Lulz. Makes ME want to buy stuff. ?I really wish there were more kitchen items (like the Lake store) and I’m still butt-hurt about the resurgence of mugs (-1) instead of gilded tea cups. WTF.
I don’t know. I was in an Anthropologie in suburban DC awhile back and it actually had stuff for guys. Not much but it had something. This one at Americana is totally geared towards girls. No question about it. It’s lovely to look at and if I was buying for my Mom or girlfriend I’d certainly consider it but for me? Anyone want to fly to DC?
i love anthropologie so much, i want to move in. ?the decor is loverly, the household accessories are delightful, and the clothes are sweet! ?very expensive for me, but i always manage to find something affordable in the sale/clearance racks. ?the staff is so nice, not like other anthropologie-like stores i’ve been to. ?i always visit this store when i’m at the americana.

Hidden in the heart of Beverly Hills this little family store truly made an otherwise daunting process much easier for an already nervous groom to be. ?The owner and his wife treated me like family (they even helped me with the proposal logistics and gave me a little pouch to hide the ring! ? ?I learned everything I know about diamonds and jewelry in the weeks leading to my purchase. ?Most of all I know I can trust them rather than your mall/downtown jeweler where you don’t know what you end up with. ?I recommend anyone who is getting engaged to go there after looking around because they will also do custom hand made pieces based on your favorite designs. ?I already referred 4-5 friends there and they all had a similar experience. ?Sometimes we swing by to get the ring cleaned up with the steam machine.
